This is the first of what is going to be many salmon and salmon-related posts this summer. You may have gleaned from an earlier post that I am part of the Copper River Wild Salmon Fresh Catch Crew for the 2012 season. I am the Georgia "go to" guy for all things Copper River. I'll be sourcing out restaurants in the Atlanta (and all parts north) areas that will be offering Copper River Sustainable Wild-Caught Alaska King, Sockeye and Coho Salmon, as well as first-rate markets that will have fresh supplies during the season (May - September).
In addition, I'll ply you with tempting recipes, show you some sexy salmon pics, impart some fun and interesting facts about sustainable wild caught (and how it differs from farm-raised), and throw in a giveaway or two just to make sure you're paying attention.
For legal purposes, I am disclosing that for my participation in this exciting event, Copper River Wild Salmon is supplying me with fresh fish for use in the recipes. But rest assured, I'll tell you where in the Atlanta area you can get your very own.
Also - bookmark us and check back often. There will be more posts than usual, And even restaurant write ups. I currently have THREE restaurants lined up for interviews, pics and a Fresh Salmon recipe from their chef!
So Stay Tuned! Tomorrow is Simple Dinner Sunday, and we're staying true to course. A quick and easy salmon preparation that'll knock your sock(eyes) off!
Cheers!
